Preparations for release v0.3.0

The following are required before the merge for release v0.3.0:

• merge !75 (merged);
• merge !87 (merged);

In the merge request associated to this issue, the following objectives have to be met:

• update/fix documentation typo
• update README.md;
• update specifications/manual.
